HIBISCUS Hibiscus, also known as rose mallow, is a plant that belongs to the mallow family. There are over 200 species of hibiscus that can be found in the warm and tropical regions all over the world. Hibiscus grows on well-drained soils in the sunny areas. This plant is best known by its beautiful flowers.

HYDRANGEAS Hydrangeas can grow as climbing vines and trees, but are most commonly grown as a shrub. The plants can grow from 1 foot tall, all the way to close to 100 feet tall as a climbing vine! ... Hydrangea blooms can be pink, blue, red, white, purple and green! The flowering shrubs can grow in partial shade to full sun.

DAHLIAS Dahlia is a genus of bushy, tuberous, herbaceous perennial plants native to Mexico and Central America. A member of the Asteraceae family of dicotyledonous plants, its garden relatives thus include the sunflower, daisy, chrysanthemum, and zinnia. Most varieties grow 4 to 5 feet tall. They are considered a tender perennial in cold regions of North America. They are only winter hardy in planting zones 8 to 11. Gardeners in zones 2 to 7 can simply plant dahlia tubers in the spring and either treat them as annuals or dig them up and store for winter.

LILIES Lilies are hardy, easy-to-grow bulbs that steal the show wherever they're planted. Other perennials just can't compete with their big blooms, amazing colors and wonderful fragrance. There are several types of lilies and each has its own look and bloom time.

Consider planting these sweet flowers in the spring so you can enjoy a bounty of August blooms next summer!
